Paul van Brenk has setup cruise control.net for providing daily builds of dasBlog, the software that powers this blog. Check it out here.
There are a lot of features that have been added to dasBlog. But there has been no releases recently. Scott has a list of features that are coming in the next release 1.9 here and here. The features I am exited about are:
New XML-RPC support for newMediaObject – No more fiddling with FTP settings.
New support for RSD so client software can autoconfigure itself – Windows Live Writer automatically configured my blog! Woot!
Automatic disabling of Comments after a certain number of days. Also manual “close comments” support. – Don’t have to bother about comment spam moderation on old posts.
Delete comments directly from your mail reader – Again easier comment spam handling.
AJAX-based “autosave draft” feature – Well I have Live Writer now but this is cool.
Support for generation of Google Sitemaps directly from DasBlog – Maybe more traffic from Google?
I do have a recent build of dasBlog running here but I had to setup the dev environment and build it from source. The daily builds should make things a lot easier. Thanks Paul.
