1000th post and a new blog


I just looked at the stats on my side bar and saw this.

This would be my 1000th post. It took about 2 years and 9 months to get there. I started blogging on 25 June 2003. That is 364 posts per year, just less than post a day. Not bad if I may say so myself.

So what have I been posting about? Here is a chart showing the posts per category:

I have posted a lot about Formula 1 (225 or 22.5%) and Software (211 or 21.1%). I have posted the least about Vista (1 or 0.1%). Well I would post more about Vista when it is released. ;-)

I also have posts about Gadgets, .Net and Java and a bit about Mozilla. This looks like a strange mix of posts. I am sure a very few people would be interested in all these categories of posts.

dasBlog provides a nice feature. All the categories have their own RSS feed. Take a look at the sidebar for these feeds. Plus I have a few of these feeds served via FeedBurner. Here they are:

You can subscribe to these feeds if you are interested in a specific category.

I also have started a new blog called Futr Blog (feed), named in typical Web 2.0 style. I liked William Gibson’s saying, “The future is here. It’s just not widely distributed yet.” so I based the blog on this. The blog is about gadgets and software that are already present and could impact us in the future.

I have more work to do with this blog. I am working on a new theme and a few more enhancements. Let me know your thoughts about this blog. If things go well I plan to start a Formula 1 blog too. :-)
