Here it is NewsAlloy Notifier, the tool I talked about yesterday. It is a very simple tool. It checks NewsAlloy, my feed aggregator, and reports the number of unread items. The tools lives in the Notification Tray. Double clicking the icon opens NewsAlloy in the default browser.
You can download it here. To configure it right click on the icon in the Notification Tray. It also works behind a proxy server. It requires Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0. You can get it here. Let me know how it works.
Nice idea! Could be very usefull. For a couple of days i get the message: Thers is an error in XML document (0, 0) . Is this an error I can fix or is somewhere else something wrong?

It could be that the configuration XML is messed up. Try deleting the ‘NewsAlloyNotifier.config’ file in the same folder as the notifier and configuring it again.
If you still get the same error then it looks like the notifier is receiving malformed XML. Are you behind a proxy server?
