IE Tab: Embedding Internet Explorer in tabs of Firefox

08 Nov

There is a cool new extension for Firefox: IE Tab. The extension can embed Internet Explorer’s rendering engine right into Firefox. Switching rendering engines is very simple. Just click on the tool bar button or status bar icon or the context menu for the switch. The page is reloaded in the other rendering engine.

This can be used for sites that are not rendered properly in Firefox, though I hardly see any such site. The good part is that bookmarklets seem to work on either rendering engines. The bad part is not all events like tab press, ctrl + v… are passed on to Internet Explorer’s engine. Check it out.
