New Gmail Feature: Be Yourself

New Gmail Feature Be yourself

Gmail has a new feature I was waiting for. Google calls it “Be Yourself”. Now you can customize the ‘From:’ address on your outgoing messages to display another one of your addresses instead. Cool. Now I can use my email address based on my domain name from Gmail. I already redirect all the mails from it to Gmail.

Strange I am getting excited about a feature in Gmail which existed in some email services for years. There is something about Google…

Google is trying to do a bit of everything… and I’m starting to get second thoughts about them.

Did you notice that, most of the adds we used to get, now are google "sponsored" adds.
And there are a lot more now! It’s a fact.

I love their searchengine and toolbar, but I don’t trust them really.
Imagine the power they have… searchengine/email/soon chat and telephony and adds everywhere on almost every webpage you and I read. All connected with one company. I’m scared.

Nice blog btw, regular updates, gadget info :p, xbox stuff, i like it alot. (‘xcept for the F1 stuff, i just ignore those)

Another thing… you live in Belgium right?
Totally off-topic, but I’m really interested about how you see the Belgian people and our federal democracy, also what you think about the fact that we have a king and pay all those taxes, and live in one of the most poluted parts of europe :p

I used to live in Belgium. Now I am back in India. :-)

About Google someone commented "Google is the new Microsoft and Microsoft is the new IBM"

The F1 posts are my favorites. Seriously. Even if you are a Ferrari fan…. :)
